Landslides disrupt rail movement in Koraput-Rayagada section

Bhubaneswar, Oct 21 (UNI) Train services between Sikarpai and Keutaguda in Rayagada and Koraput section of Waltair Division were disrupted following landslides on the railway track.

According to East Coast Railway(ECoR) sources boulder and mud had fallen on the railway track forcing the authority to short terminate Hirakhand and Samaleiswari Express at Rayagada.

The 8447 Bhubaneswar-Koraput Hirakhand Express will be now short terminated at Rayagada and will run as 8448 from Rayagada to Bhubaneswar.

Similarly,the 8005 Howrah-Koraput Samaleswari Express will be short terminated at Rayagada and will run as 8006 from Rayagada to Howrah. Both the trains will remain cancelled between Koraput and Rayagada till the track was cleared, ECoR sources said.
