Kohima, Oct 21 (UNI) The Nagaland capital Kohima and Manipur remained cut-off by road for the sixth day today following heavy landslides on National Highway 39 in Lalmati near Kiruphema since Tuesday last.

Official sources today said mudslides continued from above the hill top on the Highway.

The Border Road Task Force (BRTF), which maintains the National Highways in the state, has been clearing the roads and some small vehicles were allowed to pass through the Highway.

Over eight hundred trucks laden with essential commodities and petrol tankers for Kohima and Manipur state are stranded on the side of the highway since Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Kohima town is reeling under severe shortage of petroleum products and other essentials.
