CPI(Maoist) area commander arrested in Gaya
Gaya, Oct 21 (UNI) Police today arrested a self-proclaimed area commander of the proscribed CPI(Maoist) in the extremist-dominated Kothi police station of the district.
Police Superintendent A K Jain here said acting on a tip-off, police raided a criminal hideout under Kothi police station and arrested Yogesh Yadav, a self-proclaimed area commander of the banned ultra outfit CPI(Maoist).
Police had also recovered Rs 90,000 cash from his possession which he had collected as ''levy-booty'' from the people, Mr Jain said adding Yadav was wanted by police in connection with several criminal cases lodged in Bihar and Jharkhand.
