Congress leader killed in mishap in K'taka

Gulbarga Oct 21: A local Congress party leader and his follower were killed when their motor bike, in which they were travelling, was hit by a car on the outskirts of the city here today.

According to police, Mr Kalyan Rao(55) a local congress party leader and his follower Ashok Patil(35) were returning in their bike after a morning walk when a speedy car hit their two wheeler from behind killing them on the spot.

The bodies were shifted to the government hospital for post mortum.

Several congress leaders including Leader of the Opposition N Dharm Singh condoled the death of Kalyan Rao, Police said.
