Badal calls for defeating evil forces

Amritsar, Oct 21 (UNI) Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today called upon the people of Punjab to follow the legacy of Lord Rama and stamp out the evil forces that were a threat to the unity and integrity of the nation.

Mr Badal greeted the people on this auspicious occasion at a Dusshera function organised by Mandir Mata Bhadar Kali Dussehra Committee here.

He said arrogance, hatred and tyranny and injustice had no place in the society. Rather love, compassion and goodness should be the ultimate goal of all, he added.

The Chief Minister exhorted the people to strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, national integration and brotherhood by drawing inspiration from the epic of Ramayana. He said that terrorism and violence perpetrated by anti national elements was totally unacceptable in society as people wanted peace and prosperity.
