4 of family killed in land dispute

Bahraich, Oct 21 (UNI) Four members of a family, including a woman, were hacked to death over an alleged property dispute in Senwa area of the neighbouring Shravasti district today.

Shravasti police superintendent Satyendra Kaul told UNI that Mangare of village Hargun had a land dispute with Cheddu.

Mangare objected to the reaping of crop on the controversial piece of land by the other group.

In the ensuing conflict, Mangare (45), Ramdayal (40), Nanku (30) and Naiba (55) were hacked to death.

Later, senior district and police officials reached the spot.

A case had been registered against six persons and a manhunt launched to nab them.
