2 Indian killed in gruesome accident in UAE

Dubai, Oct 20: Two Indian girls were killed and their pregnant mother was severely injured when their car was hit by a four-wheeler in Sharjah.

Haroon Rashid (35), the father of the girls had parked the car on the hard shoulder away from the main road as he was feeling sleepy when the Land Cruiser rammed their car from behind.

The girls identified as Aisha Diya and Dina Rukhiya were thrown out of the car and died instantly. The pregnant mother Fabina Kappen (25) was rushed to the hospital in a critical condition and a casesarean was done to save the child, the Gulf Today reported here.

Both mother and child are battling for life. The father, who works for a software company, escaped with minor injuries The incident happened on Thursday. The family hailed from Calicut, Kerala.
