Nine hardcore militants nabbed

Imphal, Oct 20: Manipur police and Assam Rifles' (AR) troops nabbed nine militants of different outfits during the past 48 hours.

Thoubal Superintendent of Police Th Radheshyam said here today that a United National Liberation Front (UNLF) cadre was apprehended at Thoubal Wangkhem Litan Leirak yesterday.

In a separate incident, three People's United Liberation Front (PULF) cadres were nabbed yesterday by Thoubal police at Wangkhem and Poiroukhongjin.

The PRO of AR said two People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) cadres were nabbed by AR troops on October 18.

About Rs 20,000 in cash was also recovered from their possession and based on the information provided by the two militants, two other cadres of the same outfit were nabbed yesterday at Phumlou in Imphal.

In another incident, one PREPAK cadre was nabbed by AR troops, the PRO added. UNI
