CRPF jawan commits suicide

Sambalpur, Oct 20 (UNI) A CRPF jawan of 32nd battalion deployed in Maoists infested areas committed suicide early today.

The deceased, identified as S Srinivas Rao, belonged to Gunthur district of Andhra Pradesh.He committed suicide at the Rairakhol CRPF camp at about 0300 hrs by shooting himself from the service revolver.

Police said Rao had gone to his village on leave a few days ago and had resumed duty recently.His colleagues suspected that family tension might be the reason for taking such an extreme step. The body has been sent for a post-mortem and the family members informed about the death.
