Three arrested in 'live band dancer' murder case
Bangalore, Oct 19 (UNI) The Central Crime Branch sleuths have succeeded in cracking two murder cases including the sensational killing of a live band dancer by nabbing a kingpin and two of his associates.
Talking to newsmen here, Commissioner of Police Neelam Achutha Rao said that the arrested included Sahul Hamid and his associates Syed Kaiser Ahmed and Mohammed Abdulla.
Sahul, who was running a furniture store in Frazer Town, had fallen in love with garment factory worker Shakil Bhanu and married her in 1988. However, suspecting her fidelity he killed her in 1992.
In 2003, he fell in love with a Delhi based live band artist Mintset alias Nikki and lived with her after promising her marry.
The relationship soured soon and after prolonged quarrel he killed her by strangulating her two years ago and threw the body in a tank.
The body had been recovered by the police then.
