Reliance interested for investment in Bihar : Ambani

Patna, Oct 19 (UNI)-Chairman and Managing Director(CMD) of Reliance Industries Mukesh Ambani today expressed his willingness to invest in several key areas in Bihar including agriculture and energy sector to facilitate for accelerating the pace of development in the state.

After discussion with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and senior officers of the state government here, Mr Ambani said agriculture, energy and Human Resource Development(HRD) were identified as key areas for investment.'' Medium and long term strategy of five to ten years for investment in identified areas would be worked out'', he added.

''India can not develop unless growth engine of Bihar will roar with optimum capacity'', Mr Ambani remarked while emphasising the need of acclerating the pace of development in the state.

'' There is immense potential in Bihar and it should be exploited for faster growth in the state '', he added.

While outlining the role of youths in development, the Reliance group CMD said that their services had been utilised for development in western part of the country and it could be done here also to make Bihar a prosperous state.

Mr Ambani extended greetings for Durgapuja and Deepawali to people of Bihar.
