Putin condemns terrorist attack in Pakistan

Moscow, Oct 19 (UNI) Russian President Vladimir Putin has condemned the terrorist attack in Pakistan and sent condolences to President Pervez Musharraf expressing his deep regret for the blast victims of Karachi.

''It was with great sorrow that I learned of the terrorist attack in Karachi that has led to several innocent deaths,'' Mr Putin said today in a message to Prsident Musharraf, reported the Kremlin Press Service.

This devilish crime is yet another tragic confirmation of the need for the entire international community to join forces in combating international terrorism and extremism, he added.

''Please convey my most sincere condolences to the families of the victims and my sympathy to all those who have suffered as a result of this brutal act of terror,'' concluded the Russian President in his message to his Pakistani counterpart.
