Punjabi couple commits suicide in Jammu hotel

Jammu, Oct 19 (UNI) A couple from Punjab was found dead in a local hotel today after allegedly committing suicide by consuming poisonous substance here, police said.

Police said the couple committed suicide in a hotel room and their bodies were found lying under mysterious circumstances.

The deceased have been identified as Naveen Handa, son of Darshan Kumar, resident of Puriyan Morh, Batala and Anu, daughter of Surinder Kumar, resident of Bhatinda.

The couple consumed poison. While no suicide note was found in the room police said their bodies have been shifted to the Government Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
