PPP announces three days of mourning in Pak
Karachi, Oct 19: Pakistan People's Party today announced three-day countrywide mourning, following last night's suicide attack on party chief's Benazir Bhutto's homecoming procession.
At least 130 people were killed and hundreds of others wounded when two suicide explosions went off a minute apart shortly after midnight near Karsaz close to the vehicle Ms Bhutto was travelling in, at the head of a procession of hundreds of thousands of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) supporters who had flooded the streets of the city to welcome the return of their leader.
In the three-day mourning party flag at the PPP offices throughout Pakistan would be lowered at half-mast and black flags will be hoisted to mourn the tragic incident.
