Gold, silver close higher on firm global advice

Mumbai, Oct 19: Spot Gold and silver today closed higher by Rs 135 per kg and Rs 35 per ten gm respectively from their last close on lack of offers by stockists coupled with bullish advice from global markets, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following are the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 18,570 (18,435) Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 9,915 (9,780) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 9,965 (9,830).
