Gas cylinder blast kills 3 in Philippine capital
Manila, Oct 19: A cooking gas cylinder exploded in a restaurant in the Philippine capital Manila today, killing three people and wounding several, police said.
The blast, which occurred during lunch hour at the Glorietta shopping centre in the Makati business district, spread panic in the area, which has in the past been the scene of attacks by Muslim separatist rebels.
Police said the blast was caused by an exploding gas cylinder in a restaurant. One official said three people were killed and several wounded, mostly by glass shards.
