Four selected for ''Tamilmaamani'' award

Puducherry, Oct 19 (UNI) Four Tamil scholars from Puducherry and Karaikal regions were selected for the ''Tamilmaamani'' award for the year 2007.

According to an offical release here today, Mr N Adikesavan and Durai Maalirayan from Puducherry region, and K Sarangapani and T Datchinamurty from Karaikal were selected for the award at a meeting held here yesterday.

As many as 35 persons were also selected for the ''Kalaimaamani'' award for the year in music, dance, drama, art and folk arts, the release said.
