Fleeing undertrial nabbed, another case slapped

Fatehgarh Sahib, Oct 19 (UNI) An undertrial was nabbed by police when he jumped off from the court complex wall in a bid to flee from police custody while being presented in a local court.

Nirmal Singh son of Sukhwinder Singh, a resident of village Mandofal of district Fatehgarh Sahib was being taken to the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate(CJM), Fatehgarh Sahib from Patiala jail when the accused tried to escape from the police custody in the court complex.

He scaled and jumped from a wall in the court and received minor injuries.

The Fatehgarh Sahib police has registered one more case against him under section 223 of the IPC.
