Ex-gratia given to cinema bomb blast victims
Ludhiana, Oct 19 (UNI) The Punjab government today distributed the ex-gratia amount announced for the six people killed in the Shingar cinema bomb explosion here, an official release said.
Tourism Minister Hira Singh Gabria distributed the cheques to the next of kin of the victims. The government had announced a grant of Rs two lakh each to the relatives of the victims.
Likewise, a sum of Rs 50,000 each was given to 18 of the seriously injured in the bomb blast. A sum of Rs 30,000 each was given to the remaining 19 injured.
Deputy Commissioner Sumer Singh Gurjar said those who could not collect their cheques could do so from the SDMs office.
