Angry over woman's death, relatives ransack hospital

Sangli, Maharashtra, Oct 19 (UNI) Angry over the death of a woman at a private hospital at Hanuman Nagar here, a mob ransacked the hospital.

A pregnant woman, Riyaj Shakil Nadaf, had been admitted to a hospital run by Dr Sunita Mohite and her husband Dr Anil Mohite yesterday, police said.

Later in the night, the woman was successfully delivered of a child but she continued to suffer bleeding problems. The doctors advised the relatives to shift her to the civic hospital.

The woman was shifted to the civic hospital but she passed away this morning.

The woman's relatives held Dr Sunita and Dr Anil Mohite responsible for the death and ransacked their hospital.
