Adhayaksha of Zilla Parishads to be elected on Oct 24

Imphal, Oct 19 (UNI) The first meeting of the Imphal West Zilla Parishad shall be held on October 24 at 1300 hours at the Deputy Commissioner's office to elect Adhyaksha and Up-Adhyaksha of Imphal West Zilla Parisahd from amongst the directly elected members.

The Deputy Commissioner of Imphal West A Ibocha Singh said the nomination papers shall be delivered to the presiding officer not later than 12 noon of October 24 and taken up for scrutniy immediately after the hour fixed for presentation of nomination paper.

The election shall be held by secret ballot, the DC said.
