2 held for cheating job-seekers in MP


Harda (MP), Oct 19: Police today claimed to have arrested two people on the charge of cheating job-seekers with the promise to provide them job of Seaman in Dubai after extorting Rs 2,15 lakh each from them.

Sub Divisional Officer (Police) Abhishek Rajan said Timarni tahsil residents Gurudayal and Vijay Sagulle complained that Timarni-resident Uday Thakur and Hoshangabad district-resident Ankit Tiwari had promised them job on Rs 10,000 monthly salary. But on reaching Dubai, they were forced to work as domestic help on a wage of only Rs 3,500. They managed to return and lodged a complaint with the police.

Police suspected that the arrested might be connected with some international gang.
