India, Russia to jointly develop fifth generation fighter jets
Moscow, Oct 18: India and Russia today signed an agreement to jointly develop and manufacture the fifth generation fighter jets.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Defence Minister A K Antony and his Russian counterpart Anatoly Serdyukov.
Secretary (Defence Production) K P Singh inked the pact for Indian side while Deputy Director of Federal Service of Military Technical Corporation Vyacheslav Karlovich Dzirkaln signed it on the Russian side.
The agreement was signed at the conclusion of the seventh meeting of the bilateral Military and Technical cooperation commission.
