GoAir plans Red Eye connections from Oct-end

New Delhi, Oct 17: GoAir proposes to launch late night operations from this month-end.

The airline will operate four Red Eye flights within its current network: Mumbai to Delhi (2310 hrs), Hyderabad to Mumbai (2330 hrs), Mumbai to Ahmedabad (2305 hrs) and Ahmedabad to Mumbai (0035 hrs). [Cheap air travel at midnight: Jet Airways to start 'red-eye' flights]

''Our Red Eye operations will find suitability among those passengers who do not mind traveling by the late night or early morning flights,'' said Managing Director Jeh Wadia.

''These flights are aimed at cutting down on the long traveling hours spent on a train to cover the same distance.''

Red Eye flights will assist small and medium enterprises besides business travelers who finish meetings late and need to connect with a new destination the following morning.

''Given today's changing market dynamics, business decisions need to be taken in real time. This has led to a shift in the travel habits of business passengers,'' said Mr Wadia.

GoAir currently operates across 11 destinations in India including Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kochi, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Jammu, Jaipur, Chennai and Srinagar.
