Maruti and Fiat's joint venture

New Delhi, Oct 14 2007: The clear preference of customers for diesel cars is forcing car companies to increase their diesel engine capacities to tap the full market potential.

Noting such demands, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. or MSIL, Japan's Suzuki Motor Corporation or JSMC and Fiat Group Company Magneti Marelli have entered into a tripartite joint-venture agreement to make electronic control units or ECUs of diesel engines.
