Preparations for Eid-ul-fitr

New Delhi, Srinagar, Oct 13 2007 : Muslims today thronged the markets in the national capital for last minute shopping ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, which falls on October 14. Shops in outside 'Jama Masjid' saw a huge number of customers, purchasing new clothes and shoes for the occasion.

Meanwhile, A section of Shiite community in some parts of Kashmir valley, Kargil and Leh celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr today, a day ahead of the rest of the muslim community in the state.
