HCL Q1 up 28 per cent to Rs 264.17 crores


New Delhi, Oct 16: Software services firm HCL Technologies Ltd today said its net profit increased 28.34 per cent to Rs 264.17 crore for the first quarter ended September 30, 2007 compared to Rs 205.83 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Its total income rose by 24.23 per cent to Rs 1,146.11 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 as against Rs 922.52 crore for the same quarter last fiscal.

Its consolidated results posted saw net income at 77.41 million dollars for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 compared to 54.49 million dollars in the corresponding quarter last year.

The groups total revenue is at 429.01 million dollars for the quarter, while it was 300.41 million dollars for the quarter ended September 30, 2006.

The company also said it has appointed Mr Vineet Nayar as the CEO of the company from October 16, 2007. Shiv Nadar will be the Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer of the company.
