Cop shoots himself in Nagaland

Kohima Oct 16: A police constable has allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service gun inside the Kohima District Jail last evening.

Official sources said the constable identified as one Vizelhou Pfukha, aged 41, was from Mima village, about 15 kms from here, was appointed in the Alpha Company of Kohima District Executive Force (DEF), and was deployed as Jail Guard in the Kohima District Jail.

He shot himself twice on the chest by his stengun, they added.

The cause of suicide was not immediately known and police registered a case and investigation was on, sources said.
