Woman set herself and her children afire

Shivpuri, MP, Oct 15 (UNI) A 25-year-old Dalit woman doused herself and her two children with kerosene and set it alight at their residence in this district's Manikpur village this afternoon, police said.

Rajkumari Jatav bolted the door from inside and doused Rinku (3), Ankesh (5) and herself. When the neighbours saw the smoke they broke in to the house but it was too late. The woman's husband was not at home.

The villagers said Rajkumari was mentally unsound. The couple worked as labourers.

The bodies were sent for post mortem to the District Hospital.
