Vigilance raid at drug controller's residence

Patna, Oct 15 (UNI) Vigilance sleuths have been conducting raids at the residence of Bihar Drug Controller Y K Jayaswal since this morning, as part of the state government's anti-corruption drive, ''Operation Clean''.

Official sources said here that raid was being conducted simultaneously at Mr Jayaswal's residence at Shivpuri in Bihar and his native place in Uttar Pradesh.

The raid was being conducted following some complaints of irregularities against him, the sources said.

The special vigilance group, constituted for 'Operation Clean', seized some doccuments revealing unaccounted property, officials said, adding that the actual assessment could be made only after the raid was over.
