Two doctors suspended after woman's death

Kolar Gold Fields, Oct 15 (UNI) Four staff members, including two Doctors of KGF General Hospital, were kept under suspension for alleged dereliction of duty resulting in the death of a woman.

Police said one Saraswathi (43) had come to the Hospital complaining of chest pain. She was not attended to by Doctors till evening. Though, she was given treatment later, she died within 30 minutes.

Tension prevailed for some time in the Hospital premises as her relatives and public gathered there and staged a dharna demanding action against the staff.

The agitation was withdrawn after receiving a fax from District Health Officer, Kolar, suspending two doctors, a nurse and a wardboy, based on a report from the Hospital Surgeon.
