Ten killed in a road accident in Bengal

Santiniketan, Oct 15 (UNI) At least ten people were killed and one was seriously injured when the car carrying them collided head - on with a truck at Illambazar of Birbhum district today.

Police said the deceased were en route to Bolpur from Jalanpur village under Dograjpur Police Station when the accident occurred.

The injured was sent to hospital, where his condition was stated to be critical.

Details were awaited.
