TCS clocks a net profit if Rs 1251.6 crore

Mumbai Oct 15 (UNI) The country's leading software firm Tata Consultancy Services has posted a 23 per increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 1251.6 crore (Rs 12.51 billion) for the quarter ended September 30, 2007, compared with Rs 1018.7 crore (Rs 10.18 billion) for the corresponding period last year.

The total income is Rs 5761.8 crore (Rs 57.61 billion) for the second quarter when compared with Rs 4511.3 crore last year.

On a stand-alone basis, the company has posted a net profit of Rs 1147.11 crore (Rs 11.47 billion) for quarter two when compared with at Rs 931.32 crore (Rs 9.31 billion) for quarter two last year.

Total income is Rs 4681.5 crore (Rs 46.81 billion) for the quarter ended September 30, 2007, compared with Rs 3681.20 crore (Rs 36.81 billion) for quarter two last year.
