Sonia accepts Rajasthan CLP chief's resignation

New Delhi, Oct 15 (UNI) Congress President Sonia Gandhi has accepted the resignation of Mr Ram Narain Choudhary as leader of the Rajasthan Congress Legislature Party.

Announcing this here today, AICC Media Department Chairman M Veerappa Moily said Mr Choudhary had tendered his resignation recently.

A few days ago, Mrs Gandhi had appointed Mr C P Joshi as Rajasthan PCC chief in place of Mr B D Kalla. Mr Parasram Mordia was made Working President to strengthen the hands of Mr Joshi.

The reshuffle is being undertaken to tone up the Party's State unit in view of the Assembly elections next year.
