Murder accused, aide arrested

Agra, Oct 15 (UNI) Police arrested the prime accused in the murder of a BJP leader's brother here last night, officials today said.

SSP Navin Arora said Ashok Dikshit and his aide Lokesh Pathak were held from a party in Sikandara area.

Ashok has 64 criminal cases registered against him in Ferozabad and was carrying a reward of Rs 2,500 on his head.

Three days back, Suman Yadav was shot dead in the neighbouring Ferozabad district by unidentified miscreants.

He was the younger brother of BJP leader Laxmi Narain and worked as a teacher in Tilak Inter College, Ferozabad.

Suman was returning home with his son from the market, when he was waylaid by car and motorcycle-borne assailants and shot.

Nine cartridges were recovered from the scene of crime.

Ashok had been absconding soon after the murder.
