New Delhi, Oct 15 (UNI) Seeking better coordination between the Union government and the states to identify the culprits responsible for the Ludhiana cinema hall blast, Left parties today said the security agencies would have to gear up for the task.

Strongly condemning the bomb blast in a cinema hall in Ludhiana, leaving six migrant labourers dead and over two dozen injured, the CPI(M) and CPI said the terrorist attack coming within a few days of the blast in the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, showed there is a concerted bid by the terrorists to wreak violence and havoc around the country.

CPI(M) Polit Bureau said in a statement that it is not sufficient to try and track down the culprits after such attacks are mounted.

" It is more important to identify and uncover the terrorist groups and networks operating within the country and their links abroad. The intelligence and security agencies will have to be geared up for this task," added the CPI(M).

In a separate statement, the CPI Central Secretariat said the state and the Union government should coordinate in identifying the culprits.

" Strict measures should be taken to contain revival of terrorism in Punjab," the CPI added.
