Jindal Drilling bags Rs 660 cr contract from ONGC

New Delhi, Oct 15 (UNI) Jindal Drilling&Industries Ltd today said it has received a Rs 660 crore contract for charter hire of newly Built Jackup Rig (Discovery - I) from state-run Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).

The contract is at operating day rate of 1,59,660 dollar per day for three year period, company said in a statement.

The rig is under construction at Keppel Fels Shipyard at Singapore and is expected to be delivered in September 2008 and will be deployed for operation under this contract immediately thereafter.

With this, the total order book stands of Jindal Drilling is at Rs 2,500 crore.
