ITI and polytechnic college in Chatra: Koda

Chatra, Oct 15 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister today announced that a polytechnic institute and Industrial Training Institute (ITI) will be opened in the district soon.

Addressing a gathering at Itkhori, Mr Koda said these technical institutes would enable the youths of the state to get better employment opportunities.

Speaking on various welfare schemes, Mr Koda said, ''Under the Siddhu Kanhu scheme, about one lakh houses would be constructed for people living below poverty line.'' Mr Koda distributed cheques to 250 beneficiaries of Kanyadan yojna and inaugurated a series of road construction projects worth Rs 40 crore in the district.
