I am not power hungry: Yediyurappa
Belgaum, Oct 15 (UNI) Asserting that he was not power hungry, former Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa today said he wanted to become Chief Minister only to implement his ideas.
Addressing a 'Dharmayatra' rally here this evening, he said '' I am not power hungry. I wanted Chief Ministership only to implement my ideas for the benefit of the state.'' ''Despite warnings from senior party leaders and well wishers, I trusted in H D Kumarswamy and gave him a chance to become Chief Minister ahead of me.'' ''We did not speak about the mental torture during the last 20 months faced by our Ministers and MLAs only to safeguard the coalition government.'' Meanwhile, BJP National General Secretary H N Ananthkumar demanded holding of Assembly elections along with Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat, scheduled for November-December.
