TN: Federation plea to members on VAT

Tiruchirapalli, Oct 15: Federation of Electric, Electronic Engineering and Pipe Traders Association (FEEPTA) of Tamil Nadu appealed to its members to adopt VAT immediately as it would help the trading community to a larger extent.

In a statement here today, Federation Joint Secretary M Sadasivam said a resolution was adopted at the federation's executive held here yesterday.

He said already most of the members have started implementing VAT. However,a few were hesitant.

The meeting also appealed to the Centre to protect the interests of domestic traders in the context of multinationals and foreign suppliers entering the Indian market.
