ECI orders special summary revision of voters list

Puducherry, Oct 15 (UNI) The Election Commission has ordered special summary revision of 'Voters List-2008' in the Union Territory for fresh inclusion of persons who attain 18 years of age on January One, 2008 as the qualifying date.

As per the order, filing of claims and objections could be done from October 22 to November six. A special campaign for receiving claims and objections would be conducted on November three and four. They would be disposed off on November 30, according to an ECI release here today.

The final electoral roll would be published on January ten, 2008.

The public could also file online applications visiting the website www.ccopondicherry.nic.in to enable them to file their claims, the release said.
