EC directs Gujarat govt to transfer DGP

New Delhi, Oct 15 (UNI) Ahead of crucial Assembly polls in December, the Election Commission today directed the Gujarat government to immediately transfer Director General of Police P C Pandey.

The Commission also asked the state goverment to transfer or shift seven other officials, including Commissioner of Police, Ahmedabad, J. Mahapatra.

The officers, on transfer, would not be posted to any election related work.

Dy Inspector General , Border Range, I M Desai, Superintendent of Police, Patan District, J N Rajgor, Superintendent of Police, Rajkot District, N D Solanki, Superintendent of Police, Tapi District, S K Gadhavi, Collector, Valsad District D H Brahmbhatt, and Collector, Gandhinagar District Sonal Mishra are the other officials who have been moved out.
