Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee to lay Steel Plant foundation stone

Purulia, Oct 15 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee will lay the foundation stone for a five million tonne integrated Steel Plant, three million tonne cement factory and 1,215 MW power plant at Durmut village in Raghunathpur, 50 km from Purulia town tomorrow.

Local MP Basudeb Acharya told mediapersons here today, ''Jai Balaji Industries Limited will invest Rs 16,000 crores for three projects in Purulia district,'' adding that the production will begin within three years.

Many industrialists were interested in investing and setting up industries here, he added.
