2 kids killed as dumper knocks them down

Thane, Oct 15 (UNI) Two school children were mowed down by a dumper at the Kalwa Naka here today.

Angry over the incident, locals beat up the driver of the dumper before handing him over to the police.

Seven-year-old Anoop Gupta and his ten-year-old sister Bharti were walking to their nearby civic school when they were knocked down by the dumper, police said.

Both the children died instantly. A third person, identified as Ture (30), was also injured in the accident and has been admitted to a local hospital.
