10 killed, 7 injured in two road accidents

Tirupati, Oct 15 (UNI) Ten people, including two women, were killed on the spot and seven others injured in two separate road accidents in Andhra Pradesh today.

Police said three persons were crushed to death and one seriously injured when they were crossing the road walking between the two buses at Renigunta, near here, when the mishap occurred.

Two of the deceased were indentified as Ramachandra Reddy (55), Kumar alias Swamy (24).

In the other incident, seven people, including two women, were killed on the spot and six others injured when an autorickshaw in which they were travelling collided head-on with a lorry in Thammadapalli in Warangal district.

Police said the mishap occurred when the auto-driver lost control of the vehicle.

The injured were admitted to a government hospital here where the condition of some of them was stated to be serious, they added.
