4 sales tax officials held

Mumbai, Oct 12 (UNI) Four officials from the Sales Tax department at Mazgaon were arrested this evening on charges of corruption by the Anti Corruption Department.

The complainant Ramnikbhai Patel, proprietor of Royal Plastic, was allegedly being harassed by the officials of the Sales Tax Department for the past few months for 'C' Form, a document required for conducting business in computer spares.

Acting on the complaint, the four were arrested. The ACB is investigating the involvement of other officials as complaints have been received from many traders.
