UK's Lessing says Nobel deals her "royal flush"

LONDON, Oct 11 (Reuters) British novelist Doris Lessing said she was delighted at winning the 2007 Nobel Prize for literature today and said the award had dealt her the literary equivalent of a ''royal flush''.

In a reference to the poker card game, the 87-year-old writer told reporters outside her London home: ''I've won all the prizes in Europe, every bloody one. I'm delighted to win them all, the whole lot...It's a royal flush.'' Reuters AE GC1903
