Governor grieves demise of S R Bommai
Mumbai, Oct 11: Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna has expressed his condolences on the demise of former Karnataka chief minister and ex-Union Minister S R Bommai, who died in a private hospital following a prologed illness in Bangalore tonight.
In a message, Mr Krishna, a former Karnataka CM himself, said, ''Shri S R Bommai was a respected figure in the politics of Karnataka. He had genuine concern for the welfare of the people.
He was a seasoned Parliamentarian and an able administrator, who made handsome contribution both at the state level and also at the national level. I pay my deep respects to the memory of Shri Bommai and convey my heartfelt condolences to the members of his family.''
