Car bomb attack on Iraqi general kills seven people
KIRKUK, Iraq, Oct 11 (Reuters) A car bomb targeting the traffic police chief in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk killed at least seven people and wounded 50 others today, police said.
Brigadier-General Salar Ahmed Amin was wounded in the attack on his convoy. Some of the victims were motorists who had been queueing at a fuel station in the Shorja area of Kirkuk, a volatile multi-ethnic city.
