Vested interests destroying PDS : Biman

Kolkata, Oct 10 (UNI) CPI(M) state secretary Biman Bose today alleged that some vested interests were destroying the Public Distribution Sytem (PDS) in the state.

Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Bose said vested interests were misleading the people by unleashing a reign of terror over alleged malpractices by ration dealers in the state.

He said these nefarious elements had chosen this time for creating violence as the party conference was going on all over the state, adding better sense would prevail and a positive result would emerge soon.

He said some dealers were involved in the ration corruption.

To a query, Mr Bose replied, '' We have received a letter from the CPI and the Front meeting will be called in time. '' UNI
